Spike’s obsession with speed began at two years old, when he requested his grandfather’s help to make his little Jeep buggy go faster. From there, the passion grew into an obsession. Spike was 13 years old when, at the Australian Grand Prix, he saw first-hand the spectacle of F1 racing and knew immediately that he wanted to be a racing driver. The sight and sound of the cars screaming down the straight had sealed it. Shortly afterwards, he was racing mates in go karts.
